Aquarium simulation game.

SimAquarium is an aquarium simulation game - you can buy and sell fish, aquarium sceneries (plants, rocks etc), lighting and other things for your aquarium!

You can feed your fish, play with them and do much more. To earn money you have to breed and sell fish - there is 28 different species with different characteristics, some of the fishes are very rare. With more money you can buy bigger and prettier fishes, more impressive aquarium decorations and better lighting. But the most expensive animal you can buy is not a fish - it's a dolphin!

Maybe * doesn't work because you use laptop... try 6 instead. Click the widget to focus it and press 6 on the keyboard.

I have already tried that actually.. I checked out some earlier answers in this wall post. But still nothing! It looks like the end for my fish...

MatsMichael, probably you zoomed out the widget. Click anywhere on the aquarium and press * key on the numerical keypad.

This is acctually a SimAquarium Classic issue, but because of some bug in the "post comment" part of the Classic, I am writing it here.

Thing is: I just closed the screen on my laptop, with Aquarium classic running, came back an hour later, and now the size of the tank is no bigger than a button. Its seriously tiny.

Can I fix this? (Yes, I have tried restarting computer, opera etc.)

I miss my dolphins, my hundred of guppies and my web browser scenary..

There are some combinations of scenary, background, and light I enjoy more than others. It took me some time to find nice combinations. Thought it might help:
Pro: seashell+brown+starlight
Dolphin: pool+blue+corner
Discus/Piranha: browsers+white+tripple spotlight
Cyclids 1: pirates+magenta+corner
Cyclids 2: cave+black+starlight
Beginner 1: water plants+orange+wide
Beginner 2: mossball+yellow+diagonal
Beginner 3: reef+green+wide
Relax : gravel+transparent+horizontal

The widget is too simple for my taste. I get too much money in no time just by breading fish. Then it is just a matter of waiting for the right fish to arrive. Maybe grafio can add some disaster scenarious: epidemic desease, filter problems, broken lamps, sick fish in the store. After all in real aquarium everything is much more complex.

I don't get what all this 50 % cpu usege is It only uses 2 cpu for me flucuates between 0 and 2

hdhdhdhd, I think it's a pretty good idea and I wouldn't call it a hack, but an improvement (it's quite fair).

I did a small hack to the aquarium code:

Maximum possible amount of food is 10000% instead of 100%

The food button buys food for $200 instead of $20 if you have over $10000, and food for $2000 if you have over $100000.

I did this so I can keep the aquarium actively running while I'm away.

Any comments?

You have to have bought the swimming pool scenery, although it doesn't need to be active. Even if you have the swimming pool you only have a 10% change every time the shop refreshes (once every hour), so theoretically you could be waiting several hours before the dolphin is available in the shop.
