SimAquarium is an aquarium simulation game - you can buy and sell fish, aquarium sceneries (plants, rocks etc), lighting and other things for your aquarium!
There is also a strategy guide written by rul3r (spoiler warning!)
You can feed your fish, play with them and do much more. To earn money you have to breed and sell fish - there is 28 different species with different characteristics, some of the fishes are very rare. With more money you can buy bigger and prettier fishes, more impressive aquarium decorations and better lighting. But the most expensive animal you can buy is not a fish - it's a dolphin!
The game doesn't need a lot of attention - you can run this game in the background and do something else in the same time (it is possible to reduce the number of frames per
To get the dolphin you need to have the Swimming-Pool scenery active while the Fish Shop will switch to new fishes after 60 minutes - the probability of a dolphin showing up then is like 1:10 so be patient.
Once you made enough money I recommend to pause the game while you wait for your breeding mates as most of the very expensive ones have very slow growing rates and it takes quite a time to get them paired.
saving is easy, ie. just put a tick to "Enable relax mode" after pushing a little star in the top right corner. in this mode you can still enjoy you pool, however the feesh do not grow or breed.
The game is great, but the performance could be increased, ie. the screen is very deem, resolution is small, and the fish is moving with a stroboscope effect. I would even pay some money if these problems could be eliminated. Check out my Discuss tank (these guys are one of the slowest breeding creatures in the game). One of the parents died almost immediatly after giving birth to 4!! babies. http://www.photoblog.com/klynov/2008/10/20/discus-tank.html I am also struggling to grow a turtle. Its growth rate is something like 1% per hour. I wonder what breeding would be like considering it is 5 times slower that that of Discuses. Don't play the cracked version! It will spoils the effect dramatically and you will not have pleasure of enjoying the game. Love ya all, K
nice game i think, my strat: upgrade filter! so y can give hormones without cleaning test some fishs and hormones - my best results: start with "southern platyfish" or "gubby" then "zebrafish" "fairy cichlid" - breed 8 fishs (100%), then sell allways the breed "ram cichlid" - breed 30-xx fishs - easy earning money "fresh water angelfish" - grew up very slow, but breed very fast - best fish for earning money
Cute little gajizmo that helps break the boredom of coding in a multi-screen environment (boss stuffed me in a six-22" screen environment to squeeze every little bit of productivity). So, except during days when I used to bring my girlfriend to work, this little aquarium gajizmo is the only thing that brings out my joy and juice at work. Enjoy!
I don't why, but your widget is making Opera stop working after a while (windows error and then exit). This is happening on multiple computers (at work, at home, on friends' computers also). It's very frustrating, because when Opera exits you loose everything from your last save, and sometimes this means hours of work at your acvarium.

I found that this mostly happens when your click-rate is too high e.g. you want to sell a bunch of fishes and you click the sell buttons very fast.
Since I realized that I'm going slow with the game and have no further crashes ...
