i find it confusing...if you try to calculate your local time.Ive come across a site with an more logical solution to the internet time problem.they calculate the time in 360 degrees.
a 360/60/60 system as they say.a day is 360 degrees with 60 net minutes and 60 net seconds.
a net degree is exactly 4 minutes and 15 degrees is exactly one hour.
this is easier to calculate since people have to learn and adapt to the new time.i rather see a widget for this clock as standard to opera browser to make the first step to the transition for the future.

can't see what yr name is as i would have liked to put it next to the link
feel strongly that the creators of things must be acknowledged!
all those brilliant software creators

swatch the old so and so's have discontinued their desktop widget
i'm a big fan of one time for the planet
have put a link to yr widget on my blog re internet time

not sure about widgets actually work
do i have to reload the widget each time i reboot?
have just put loads of widgets onto my desktop which i'm going to have to close
but it seems that i have to reload them to resurrect them!

Actually, UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is supposed to be the "actual" universal time. This is really just something that started as a Swatch promotional thing, and nothing is gained over just using UTC or GMT. You still need to do the conversion to/from Swatch time to "your" time, as you have to with UTC or GMT.

The difference being that with Swatch time, you need to use a tool for that conversion job, and with UTC, you can at least memorize your time zone difference and easily add/subtract yourself.
