An audio-playing and browsing widget - snaps to the sides of your screen for convenient use.
- Add your existing podcast feeds - Search for podcast series or episodes (includes quick picks for common topics!) - Search internet playlists - Search for individual MP3 tracks - Load your own XSPF-format playlists or MP3 file URLS.
Bookmark your favourite audio feeds for later, saved automatically.
New in version 2.0 - includes searches for music playlists and tracks, courtesy of WebJay and Blogdigger, more configuration options, multiple colour skins and optional opacity, and an automatic version-check - always stay up-to-date! The Flash component is now fully integrated into the widget, and works with Flash 7 or above. Manually entered feeds now correctly retrieve their own name automatically.
Two warnings - podcast feeds other than MP3 are not supported, and the Flash component currently used cannot handle variable bit-rate MP3s correctly. If your podcast starts to sound like it's being read by chipmunks, please try another!

It's a good idea. Unfortunately I cannot get it to work. I'm trying to load my Podiobooks list. The widget appears to "hang" without loading the playlist.
play this track...its a local band and youll appreciate how to enjoy this wonderful widget... i just dont know how tocreate a playlist on my own so i could share....
hey buddy...youve got maybe a revolutionary invention there...great things happen from accumulation of small things...errr widgets for you...hehe...keep up the good work man...and by the ive got 1 suggestion if you have the time...why not make the widget be able to add tracks instead of playing just one then i have to change the url again to play a track..and then the widget will then be able to save the playlist that i have created...that would be nice isnt it...very good effort man...hey heres my email if you would like to ask me how to make an mp3 load and play fast on any browser...your sample playlist buffers every 5sec. my mp3s just glides through very smoothly but not compromising the quality...still at 128 bitrate. <juceasarvaldez@yahoo.com.ph>
Naits-Roht (sorry for the slow response) and anyone else with the same problem - if you hold down the mouse button over the scroll arrows, they should continue scrolling.
However, the current Opera version can have problems with button elements - if you move the mouse at all while holding the click it thinks you're wanting to drag the widget and this interrupts the scroll. This might be what you're seeing.
Man, I'm sorry I'm so late with a response. I want to thank you for the fix. Except for one feed, it's grabbing all of the titles. Great tweak for my favorite widget.
I dunno how the widget thingts work, but how about; when you move you cursor over the scroll arrows, the thing would slowly scroll by itself? instead of clickin all the time...
I really enjoy using this Widget, thanks for that.
But unfortunately, I have a problem with it: When i connect to a Podcast, the window in which the XSPF Player should be is transparent and if i click on an item in it I click "trough" the player and the click affects the window behind the player.
Well, version 2 is out. There's a lot of feature updates, especially a few more configuration options including skins and opacity and more searching options, but specific fixes include: - A clearer loading indicator when searching - Snapping can be disabled! (for grafio and others) - You can enter XSPF playlist and MP3 URLs directly (for shoust) - The earlier version did try to retrieve the title for a manually-entered RSS feed, but was failing and I hadn't noticed. Now fixed (for Zweihander)
Cool widget. I would like it if you could rename saved podcasts, though. I mean, I can look at the feed address and know what it is, but to be able to name it would be nice.
I am planning on offering the option to disable snapping, I just need to figure out where to put it without giving myself too much graphics work! (I'm not much of a designer, unfortunately...)
@Ejrech: Yeah, but only if they add an option to disable snapping. I have two monitors and I can't place this widget on my second monitor because when I move it there, it goes back to the first one automatically.
@johnnysaucepn: Please add option to disable snapping

I should work out the nicest way of handling that problem and reporting the error.
