Keep your eye on the security of popular Web browsers.

This widget shows the security status of the latest versions of IE, Firefox, Opera and Safari. The bars represent how dangerous is the worst unfixed hole (not the number of holes) - the lower a bar, the better security. The data about the vulnerabilities is loaded from Secunia site. It's refreshed once per hour.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The widget by itself DOES NOT make you more secure or protect you from anything. This is a general information accurate only for the latest versions of the browsers. Always use the most current version of your browser and install security patches!

when I click a browser that has security issues the widget wont open the page, in Opera 10.10 build 1840

Thanks Chas4, I appreciate your help. It's updated now. No need to reinstall the widget, because the list of the browsers' URLs are downloaded from my server.

This needs to be updated to track Safari 4 now, especially because it fixed a ton of vulnerabilities in Safari 3.

V1.82 changes:
- fixed to work with Opera 10
- removed Konqueror (Secunia doesn't have any data about Konqueror 4)
- updated IE version to IE 8.0 (this change is automatic and doesn't require widget update

Needs to be updated to reflect Internet Explorer 8, which amazingly has no security issues or vulnerabilities right now. Should also show Google Chrome, as well. Otherwise, it's a nice and informative widget.

This is good and all, but I also like to follow Google Chrome... Do you think you could add in a column for Chrome as well, since it's certainly an up-and-coming browser?
