Can you imagine some kind of auto-scale ? Maybe in a way that the main extreme points, and the main turning points fit into the display area? (if there are any..)
Another idea would be to display color values with iso lines, instead of the 3D height field.
And define variables, and increase the size of the typing field..
I think I need to learn how to create these widgets!!
Brilliant... this especially shows the potential of <canvas>. I can imagine an educational website, that teaches children about various functions, with immediate output on their screen.

But try to use input with type="number" (WebForms 2) http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-forms/current-work/#extensions
Also use labels for input fields.
