Version 2 includes a better code for better results, now you even can style the body-tag (iframe) etc..
It does also have a smoother outfit, and version 3.0 will have load and save, and other functions (still workin' on it, but having problems.. ;-)

htmlEditor, I think you'll get the point..
Feel free to make it more usefull.. Just do, don't ask, no need to refer to my name etc..

Make this idea yours and expand it's functions.. (It doesn't work so nice yet.)

Good widget. Unfortunately, I couldn't change the background of the editor. Would be nice.

EXTREAMLY well done, i like how it is, though their are some minor issue's that need to be corrected, i can deal with them, as this is just the tool i need, so that i can validate my html code, with out having to open up other program's that take forever to load. I give this widget a 5 out of 5, because of how much it has aided me in my html programming code. That, and because its just awesome in general.

Like you can see..
I gave up the support for my html/css editor..
But the widget's idea still can be found in 'True html editor'.
It's far more complicated and extenden than mine,
so I would choose for it!

a coffee maker would be fine though improbable

(Aaaah! This would be _/THE/_ killer application ever, one never has to leave the computer again!)

Anyway that would have a bad impact my not-so-bad social status.

* So my (less interesting than the coffee maker) proposals:
Loading a html file and display the code (don't know if it is possible with JS yet). Well this has been already mentioned but there is seems to be a solution in my mind.
* a button for generating an (x)html document stub (yes, with doctype)
* a button for generating a css style stub
* buttons for w3c validation would also be neat but this might be a problem, as perhaps no file could be generated and upload. ah, forget about that one
* did I already mentioned the coffee maker?

well that's it for now

HTML editor v3.0
Due to lack of time, it will take some more to complete version 3.0
maybe there are some proposals to put into the widget? Just submit those right over here.. [or download the widget and make it your own =) ]

He means HTML pages in Opera cache. view/source(ctrl+f3)

Normally you can click between the edit box and the previeuw area to move it.. Unless somebody knows a little about the control regions, i'm still searching for it..
About the display-frame (iframe): Opera handles the frame a bit bizar, normally the frame would have to be white from te beginning, you should add the following code for transparency:

body{
background-color: transparent;
}
</style>

and you'll have to enter some 'body' like a paragraph <p></p> or something..

Let's say I'm still working on it when I find some time to do, and I'm only 17, so I still have to discover a lot of coding etc..

if you write something in the edit box and the delete it all, the preview area becomes white and cannot be clicked for dragging the widget.

I'd love to use your widget to edit the HTML source cache files in Opera and see the results in the browser. It seems like most of the support is in place to do such... just need to use it as the editor.

Hi mieleman,

I was a instantly excited over your little widget. I added some visual flavor to it, but there are lots of things which could be better. in example the graphics, more buttons to generate elements.

unfortunatle my work piles up, so currently I can't work on it any more. but I uploaded the version 1.1. perhaps you are interessted.
