A simple countdown timer. Simply enter the number of minutes and seconds to count down and press the button to start.
For count up functionality, simply set minutes and seconds to 0 (zero).
Changelog 1.1 - 2006-06-28 *The widget now flashes when countdown is complete, it will stop flashing when you click on it. *The count up functionality continues to count up when stopped and restarted until you click on either the minute or seconds field.
First, I really appreciate what you have done. Second, thanks because all things i used this widget for. And third, i don't know if you could (please, please) to add a feature to this widget: repetitive alarm (like beep every x min)
Why? Because i work at night and it will help me to get me awake.
If you do this your for me (really you will do it for all the world). I will give you thanks all my working life.
Its a good widget, but it needs an option for a sound to play at the end so you know the time is up if you arent looking at the screen. Also, I'd like it to be a little bit bigger. Other than that works fine.
Nice and useful! Thanx! The flashing is Ok, but could it beep too? That would be definitely more helpful when you are not watching the monitor all the time...
If you could include a means of telling me, using a flashing screen, that my time was up it would sure help. I work on the computer and forget the time passing. If I have something to do in, for say one hour, it would be nice to get a obvious visual reminder. A sound reminder would no work as I sometimes turn off the sound. Thanks
Very nice idea, though if you stop a count-up and then try to resume, as with a stopwatch, it starts counting back *down* again.
If the mouse pointer clicks in a digit box, towards the right edge, and then slides to the right, the digits slide off to the left and vanish (you then have to do the same thing on the left side to slide them back into view), so best to use TAB to select fields, rather than mouse.
Might ESC might be used to avoid getting "trapped" in one of the counter fields? Keyboard letters also do funny things if accidentally hit.
Thanks again for a very useful (and unique) widget!
