Small simple widget to display pandora radio. shadowk added window-shading and title updating! d.i.z. added a connect button, fixed the issue on initial minimizing, and corrected the validation problems!
Updated for player version 7.200 on 7/27. Also, major thanks to Tommy O from Opera for giving hints on getting it working in the latest builds and tobs999 for the Ajax call to get the current player version!
People don't seem to be reading the comments, so I'll restate things here.
1) I cannot do anything about the transparency until Opera officially supports flash in widgets. I have been told this will happen, but no timeline.
2) This just uses the current Pandora player. I cannot make a new improved skin for the player until Pandora releases a full API. They have assured me this will happen, but no timeline.
Some buttons for instance; (close) wont get fully "collored" and in the edit radiostation i can't see some lines underneath the station name... Anyway this is a very nice widget indeed! (fiver)
Hallo Problem: Pandora is asking for registration. One of the data ask for is an e-mail adress. In the widget windows on my computer (french keyboard) it's not possible to enter the "@" [at] sign (AltGr-zero) and the "." [dot]. What can I do? Thanks a lot, grisbois.
I registered just so I could say what a great widget this is. And to top it off it works better with my linux box than my Win XP box. It has a hard time getting by Zone Alarm using XP.
i'm running the new 9.01 and the widget works but I still get the transparency problem and the black bar at the top shows "song519213 by undefined" where i guess it is meant to show the song/artist information.
is this just me or is this happening for other people too?
Updated to use the ajax call tobs999 suggested. Again, thanks to everyone in the community that has helped push this widget - either through chipping in or just showing support!
Regarding the black-box and pandora not working with latest Opera: I'm still unsure exactly what the problem is, but personally I was having this problem at work. I could go into "block content" mode when going to the site (before it loaded) and then it would work. However I could see that Opera was constantly trying to automatically set the player as blocked content. Turning off javascript for the site fixed this.
Oddly enough, I didn't encounter this problem on my home machine (also with latest Opera and Flash player) - but I hadn't installed every weekly release on that box like I did at work.
I did the Javascript fix (?) to get the Pandora site to work in Opera, but the widget still does not work for me; it remains to be a big black box of nothingness

Any idea what the developers do to cause this?
I'm running Suse Linux 10.1 x64 (and the web site plays fine)

Just make sure that Pandora has the right permissions with Flash & that Javascript is DISABLED on the Pandora website.

I'm using Build 8543 now, with Flash 9. The Pandora player works flawlessly.
