Calculates a Message Digest from a given string of text. Currently supports MD4, MD5 and SHA-1.

Version 1.2.0 now supports SHA-1 hashes.

Auto-highlighting is a good idea, Skrooks, will see to have that implemented, along with different color themes.

Additionally I thought about adding support for MD4 Hashes.

You may want to have the text auto-highlight when you click on it, that way you can just click and paste (or click and copy) rather than having to highlight everything manually. Options for different colors/syles might also be nice.

Sure, feel free to do whatever you want with it.

The actual MD5 algorithm implementation is not written by me though. But as it's creator, Paul Johnston (http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/md5src.html), released it under the BSD license you can almost do whatever you want with it.

Come to think of it, you probably won't need that part of the code anyway if you want to convert text to l33t.
