I made Slovak language translation version.

country: <option value='sk'>Slovak republic</option>
language: <option value='sk'>Slovak</option>

slovak holidays are here holidays_sk.js
slovak language is here languages_sk.js

Calendar is a nice widget. Dark-glass style is my favorite. How about figure out 3.level of minimalization? Something like thin bar? And made widget not just transparet, but clickable thrue also?...

pnovak 作 , # 2006/04/23 12:00:36

Excellent widget. works fastest on my pc in the dark glass "skin".

alamandrax 作 , # 2006/04/23 8:01:32

Hey, its a very nice widget, but the download fails, I am using windows 2000 and Opera 9.

pwu 作 , # 2006/04/22 18:24:39

it's impossible to edit a post...grrrr....
so, here is the complete and correct ( i hope) polish version:

polski (polish)
"Maundy Thursday":"Wielki Czwartek",
"Good Friday": "Wielki Piątek",
"Easter": "Wielkanoc",
"Easter Monday": "Lany Poniedziałek",
hmmm- it's not the official name of this holliday, IMHO it should be
"Easter Monday": "Poniedziałek Wielkanocny"
"May Day": "Święto Pracy",
"Ascension": "Boże Ciało",
"Pentecost Sunday": "Zesłanie Ducha Świętego",
"Pentecost Monday": "Zesłanie Ducha Świętego",
"Christmas Eve": "Wigilia",
"Christmas Day": "Boże Narodzenie",
"Second Day of Christmas": "Drugie Dzień Świąt Bożego Narodzenia",
"New Year's": "Nowy Rok",

we don't celebrate "Day of German Unity" and i'm not sur if we celebre the Pentecost on Sunday or Monday

Icehawk : "When I close Opera, the widget starts with the default settings"..... Mine too, still...
(Weekly Build 8367 Win32-XP Java 1.5)

Good job

Investor 作 , # 2006/04/15 11:49:34

: Yes, I'm seeing the same thing. If Opera is left running overnight, the Widget doesn't get the current date.

Ramunas 作 , # 2006/04/12 12:37:23

pattoncito, i didn't saw the new style, i will include it in the next update.

aleto 作 , # 2006/04/11 12:22:44

janicka, the format for the holidays looks like:

var localizedHolidays=
' 01.01.rep Nový rok ;'+
' 01.05.rep Svátek práce ;'+
' 17.04.rep Velikonoční pondělí ;'+
' 05.07.rep Den slovanských věrozvěstů Cyrila a Metoděje ;'+
' 08.05.rep Den osvobození ;'+
' 06.07.rep Den upálení mistra Jana Husa ;'+
' 28.09.rep Den české státnosti ;'+
' 28.10.rep Den vzniku samostatného československého státu ;'+
' 17.11.rep Den boje za svobodu a demokracii ;'+
' 24.12.rep Štědrý den ;'+
' 25.12.rep První vánoční svátek ;'+
' 26.12.rep Druhý vánoční svátek ;'

A date with 'rep' will appear in each year.
To add something just for a certain year you use:

' 12.04.2006 Name for the Holiday ;'

aleto 作 , # 2006/04/11 12:21:07

Thanks a lot for the Colombian holidays addition. I wish you can add the modified metal style, as we traditionally mark holidays with red color letter here.

janicka: a good source for holidays is here. I just did the same job for outlook and upload it as Microsoft got them wrong and out of date. It is in spanish, but most of the links are for english sites.

pattoncito 作 , # 2006/04/10 18:27:17

aleto, the czech characters work perfectly now, thanks a lot.

there's still something about the holidays in the czech version... i've noticed that the Easter Monday is set to April 17th, but this is changing every year - it's a minor thing though. some holiday names have spelling mistakes, i can try and correct them - woud you please post here (or send me) the list of the holidays (or the part of the code handling this)?

janicka 作 , # 2006/04/10 17:47:00

Could you add the Canadian holidays that I have submitted earlier on this page please? Just use the english name. That would be great.

Ok, the setting problem should be fixed as well as the encoding (if someone how understand czech could check would be nice).

Also now included Columbian and Latvian  .

Thanks for all contributions

aleto 作 , # 2006/04/08 19:42:56

I hope that i have some time this weekend to look in this problems about saving settings and encoding.

If you like to look yourself, search for 'setCookie', 'getCookie' and 'clearCookie'.

aleto 作 , # 2006/04/07 14:32:21

I have the same problem Icehawk already reported - settings are not saved, it always starts with Switzerland/English :-(
Where are these settings saved, to patch it manually as a workaround? I couldn't find anything ...

Obelix72 作 , # 2006/04/06 13:53:14

i don´t wanna be a pain in the ass... anyway... the czech characters do not work still, as Joker_CZ said some time ago. to be accurate:

"ř", "Ř" is wrongly displayed as "ø", "Ø"
"č", "Č" is wrongly displayed as "è", "È"
"ě", "Ě" is wrongly displayed as "ì", "Ì"
"ů", "Ů" is wrongly displayed as "ù", "Ù"

it is probably caused by the character set... (there are no characters as ø, è, ì, ù in czech, so that this goes for all appearances of this characters.)

second bug: short for Saturday is "So", not "Su" (Saturday is "sobota" in czech)

anyway: the calendar is amazing and thanks a lot for it :o:)
